About Dutch Courage

The Poseidon Project is the only project of the Dutch Courage Foundation, a registered charity housed in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Dutch Courage was founded in 2014, by Gert-Jan Keizer and Robert-Jan Sips, two rowing friends who shared a growing worry about the state of our planet and an urge to do something about it.

After setting up the first education materials on IBM developerWorks, they invested their savings in a 40,000km roadtrip, crossing Russia, Mongolia, Central Asia and Iran, some of the most water-stressed regions of the world. Along the way, they gave guest lectures at some 15 universities and worked to kickstart a community around the Poseidon Project.

Currently, the foundation has volunteers in the Netherlands, USA, Russia and Kazakhstan and is thriving in it's mission to educate the world on the boundaries of economic growth.
